Vocational Students 2010

Harvest West Bible College can now offer VET Fee-Help for all Diploma students commencing Semester One, 2010! This means that after application, the government will pay your fees for you! Please note that VET Fee-Help will not be available for Certificate IV students.

The prices listed below are comprehensive fees covering tuition and other fees pertaining to your studies, including ALL study materials (i.e., class handouts, and assignment resources, online library), and postage costs (except costs of textbooks and assignment submissions).

VET Fee-Help Refund Policy

Certificate IV Refund Policy
Refunds apply only to the tuition component of student fees. Administration and Library fees are deducted from any refunds. Refunds are processed from the date of formal notification in writing of the student’s intent to withdraw.

Weeks Completed Refund

  • 0 (before commencement) 100% of paid tuition fees
  • 1 – 2 80% of paid tuition fees
  • 3 – 4 50% of paid tuition fees
  • Over 4 0%

Any student failing a class due to absences is responsible for the full cost of that subject.

The Refund Policy will be published in the Information booklet at the back of the prospectus, on all subject enrolment forms, and in the Student Handbook.

Procedure
Students are required to notify the Registrar in writing of their intention to withdraw. This can be done by completing a Change of Course form available from the Student Common Room, or by means of a letter. It is the responsibility of the Registrar to calculate the refund applicable and to advise the Finance Officer by memo.

The Finance Officer will then arrange for a refund cheque to be sent to the student, if they are in advance with their fees, or to deduct the refund from the fees owing.

External Discounted Church Training Program

Pastors, call to see how you can train your church / leaders at Personal Development level with a heavily discounted group rate.

  • All prices on this page apply to fees paid in advance per semester.
  • If students wish to enrol into one unit, the fees must be paid in advanced.
  • Students not paying in advance will be required to pay a $400 deposit and enter into a Fees-contract (usually by fortnightly instalments).
  • Harvest West aims to be as flexible as practical with fees payments. Please discuss your particular situation with the Finance Officer.

Spousal Discount:
Spousal Discount is only available at the Certificate IV level. This discount applies where one spouse is studying full-time (i.e. 4 subjects per semester), the second spouse is entitled to a discount. The maximum discount is 40% off the full-time (i.e. 4 subjects per semester) rate. Please note- the spouse studying with the lowest fee structure will receive the discount. Couples taking advantage of this offer, who do not pay a semester’s fees in advance, will be invoiced as a family and required to enter into a joint Fees-Contract. Spousal Discount is not available to International Students.

OMC (or Spouse) Discount:
OMC Discount is only available at the Certificate IV level. This discount applies where a fully Ordained Minister (OMC or equivalent) or his/her spouse is entitled to a 50% discount. Note: this discount is only available to one spouse per semester and spousal discount (above) does not apply.
