Many people today are looking to study at home due to their busy life styles. Most do this by some correspondance course that supplies a ‘fill-in-the-blank’ workbook or a few cassette tapes. Other distance education has limited online contact. These often leave disappointment.
Harvest West has a very unique external studies program. After years of experimenting with all the various ways of running an external program, we found the best way was to drop a live camera into the class room and record the action onto DVD’s!
External students frequently comment that they feel a part of the class, and this encourages them to continue through the discouraging and lonely times associated with external studies.
Studying by DVD enables you to have ready access to the same lecturers, the same class time, and do the same assignments and upon completion get the same award upon completion of study as on-campus students. This means that the dreaded word ‘Correspondence’ will not be hanging on your wall!
This is especially important to those in remote locations who can now study and earn a Bachelor degree via our unique DVD program, and not have that dreaded word ‘Correspondence’ on their final award.
Students studying in external locations have the same study options as on campus students.
External students can study:
- full time or part time (AUSTUDY available with 75% study load).
- for Academic Credit or Not for Award (Personal Development).
- at Bachelor Degree level (Biblical Studies and Ministry are available); or
- At the TAFE level with the Certificate IV in Ministry and Diploma of Ministry.
- all Internships: Certificate IV in Ministry (Specialisation) and Diploma in Ministry (Specialisation)
- at the same semester schedule as on campus students or at a quicker rate.
- the same subjects as on campus student or subjects available from previous semesters.
You can even study a mix of on campus subjects and externally by distance education.
