“I attended Harvest West Bible College in 2000 & 2001 and completed a Diploma In Christian Ministry. My time at Harvest was a vital time in preparation for future ministry. As well as the training and study I received at Harvest West I also made some life long ministry friends some which I work with today. I am currently the state director for Youth Alive in Western Australia as well as the Associate Pastor at Hope City Church Perth. I can honesty say that the time I spent at Harvest West equipped me to be in ministry today, not only be in ministry but to be effective and enjoy the journey”

My Harvest West journey started mid 2008, a mere two months after I embraced Jesus (yay!). God has led me from Cert IV to BA (argh Greek !!!), igniting passions I never knew existed! He constantly draws me closer to intimacy; revealing the true depths of His love and grace, and encouraging me to not quit like I have so many times before. It’s not just head knowledge here – it’s heart knowledge, and that’s where sanctification (oh the pain!) transpires. These are the hardest, happiest, most challenging, most rewarding moments of my life. I’m so blessed ! I wouldn’t be the woman of God I am now without letting Him invade my heart on this journey at a college that seriously feels like home.

I graduated with a Diploma of Ministry in March 2011, and I can say what I learned during my study at Harvest West has been invaluable. I was dissatisfied being a ‘Sunday Christian’. I wanted to take my relationship with God to a deeper level, and through studying under the guidance of the lecturers at HWBC, my relationship with God has deepened. I have a better understanding of the sovereignty of God and His will for my life, and that of all His children. As a result, I am better equipped to speak God’s truth into the lives of those who are lost and searching, bringing them hope, and glorifying our Father in Heaven.
Ro 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

I have been a student of the Bible all my life. I first attended the National AOG College in 1984 and since then there have been quantum changes in theology, ministry and life application. What I learned almost 30 years ago is now very stale ‘manna’. On my ministerial journey, I became the founding principal of Harvest West Bible College and discovered that my AOG Bible College diploma that cost me thousands of dollars and a fair bit of heartbreak was not recognised by any other body – religious or secular! I was forced to upgrade my qulaifications in theology at Murdoch Univeristy where not everyone gets out ‘alive in Christ’! I am so grateful that our current students can actually study at a fully accredited college with Holy Spirit filled and Bible believing scholars. I have now started my Masters in Ministry and I love the fact that it is stretching me and is relevant to my day to day challenge as a pastor in this great movement.
I cant believe my journey at HWBC is coming to an end so soon but i’m glad I ended up here cos there’s no other place i’d rather be. I’ve had heaps of fun here and at the same time, gained an all-rounded, hands-on learning experience. Harvest West is more than a college, its training ground to prepare you for the most important work ever – the expansion of his kingdom.

“I’m from France and I’m blessed to be in Harvest West Bible College. For my personal experience Harvest West made me come closer to God through the lecture but also the support given during challenges times in my studies. I’m in a place where the people desire to train and equip you to be a minister in Christ likeness.”

I attended Southern Cross Bible College (which became HarvestWest in 2000) from 1997-99 graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Ministry. My time at SCBC saw me grow from a young Christian to a young Christian leader as God worked deep in my heart and also instructed me from his word. In March of 2000 I hit the skies for Africa, bound on a mission to work with Youth in a mining town in Botswana. I ended up spending three years in Botswana working under a missionary/pastor from NZ. My time in Botswana was very positive, although missing much of the the conveniences of Oz, I loved the fragrance of Africa.
After returning to Perth from Botswana in August 2003, I settled down to a regular job through most of 2004. A conversation with a friend late in 04 challenged me to return to College (HarvestWest) for a year to obtain my Bachalor of Arts in Ministry. In 2005 at the age of 27 again I found myself a bible student and had an challenging year which I thoroughly enjoyed at HarvestWest. I spent 2006 working as a Manager in a retail chain which left me wondering was there more for this aspiring preacher. In November 06 while considering the Police Force, Ps Peter Hack of Cornerstone Church conntacted me about a position as an Associate Pastor which I took up in Feb this year. I’m really loving the job, and all my years of study are coming to use preaching to an adult congregation every fortnight.
