Our staff is always increasing as the College grows. Below are a few of our faithful staff (feel free to pray for us all!!!)
Ashley Crane (Principal)
Ph.D; Grad.Dip.Min; B.Theol(Hons); CIV AWT: Dr Ashley Crane has been the Principal of the College for over 12 years, and has seen the College grow from 25 students to its current size. He teaches Biblical Studies subjects such as Old and New Testament Surveys, Romans & Galatians, Pentateuch, Greek, Hermeneutics, Israel and the Middle East, Theology of the Old Testament (Masters level), and many other books of the Bible. He also teaches Leadership Principles in College and seminars.
Ashley has a Ph.D from Murdoch University. Ashley’s Ph.D thesis is the “The Restoration of Israel: Ezekiel 36-39 in Early Jewish Interpretation: A Textual-Comparative Study of the Oldest Extant Hebrew and Greek Manuscripts” (http://wwwlib.murdoch.edu.au/adt/browse/view/adt-MU20070220.124653). This has now been published by Brill: Crane, A.S., Israel’s Restoration: A Textual-Comparative Exploration of Ezekiel 36-39 (Supplements to Vetus Testamentum, 122; Leiden: Brill, 2008).
His previous studies includes Associate Diploma from Christ For the Nations in Dallas Texas, a 4 year Bachelor of Theology with Honours from Murdoch University in Perth (Honours thesis: “NHM in Genesis 6:6 in Early Jewish Interpretation”).
Ashley has pastored 5 churches over 16 years in Israel, the USA (Memphis TN, and Holbrook NY) and Australia (Kalgoorlie and Safety Bay). Most of these have been cross cultural congregations.
Ashley has a dynamic preaching and teaching ministry and is zealous to see people fully trained and flowing in the Word and the Spirit. He is currently on the preaching team of Sound City (Rockingham), Lakelands (Bibra Lake) and Perth Christian Life Centre (Canning Vale), and regularly preaches in other churches, conferences and leadership seminars. Ashley has been married to Debbie for 28 years, and they have two sons aged 22 and 24. Ashley’s hobbies include woodworking (making furniture for his wife!). He also enjoys fixing and riding his motorcycle.

Sue Martin (Academic Administrator, International Student Pastor, Librarian / Lecturer)
BA (BS); Cert IV AWT: Sue has been at the college studying, volunteering and on staff all up for the past twelve years, and now works full time as Librarian, Academic Administrator and International Student Pastor. Sue is also currently studying part time a Graduate Diploma in Information Science at Edith Cowan University, and hopes to continue her studies into the Masters program at Harvest Westr. She has been married to Phil for 26 years, and has 4 adult sons, Jacob, David, Samuel and Caleb. Sue enjoys gardening and scrapbooking . She is looking forward to the day the college opens a campus in Bali…

Murray Patchett (External Studies Coordinator, Dean of Men)
BMin(Hons); MA(UK); GradDipEd; Cert IV AWT: Murray is an ordained minister of the Australian Christian Churches and has been involved in Bible College ministry, firstly as a student, then as a lecturer, since he became a Christian in the early nineteen eighties. He commenced college a few months after his salvation, while at the same time running a full-time business and becoming involved in ministry. Later he lectured a number of subjects in College while involved in full time ministry within his church. In 1989 he became an active missionary, spending two and a half of the next three years in Malaysia working with a large Tamil Church as the associate pastor. During this time he helped plant two churches and trained leaders of the eight outreaches that the church had previously pioneered. While in Malaysia he met and married his wife, Sherine, immediately after which God sent them to England to establish a Bible school in 1992. In late 1998 they returned to Perth where Murray took up a position as Assistant Pastor in a northern suburbs ACC church. He was on staff at another Bible College in Perth from mid 1999 until 2005, during which time he also lectured at Southern Cross/Harvest West. He commenced full time with Harvest West at the beginning of 2006 in the role of External Studies Pastor while lecturing several subject each semester.

Jenny Dixon (Finance Officer)

Tanya Magenta (TESOL Co-ordinator)
BA Ed; BA (BS); Grad. Dip. Ed; Cert IV AWT: Tanya joined the Harvest West staff on a part-time basis in February 2007. She is an experienced TESOL and ESL teacher. Tanya started writing and teaching a Certificate IV TESOL course in 2003. For four years Tanya lived in Malaysia working in an orphanage teaching English to children. Since returning to Australia at the end of 1997 Tanya has completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies at Harvest West Bible College as well as a Graduate Diploma in Education Studies through Murdoch University. She is a qualified Primary School Teacher who is currently teaching Indonesian to Primary aged children in a number of Primary Schools in the state on a part-time basis. Tanya travels overseas regularly for the purpose of teaching English and working with missionaries. She has recently worked in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Cambodia.

Glenn Bergsma (Youth Alive Internship Coordinator)
Adv.Dip.Ch.Min.; Grad.Cert.Bus: Glenn currently oversees the Youth Alive internship program at Harvest West and also contributes to lecturing in other leadership units. Glenn Bergsma is also the Managing Director of Powershift, a boutique organisational development consultancy business in Perth, Western Australia. Specialising in strategic planning, organisational re-engineering and leadership development Glenn has the unique ability to assist individuals and organisations discover clear direction for their future as well as facilitating the process to generate the best strategies to see the desired future become a reality. Glenn is currently completing a Master of Leadership and Management at Curtin University and has already received a Graduate Certificate in Business, Diploma of Christian Ministry and an Associate in Theology. Glenn and his wife Allison also lead a new church (Westcity Church) in the western suburbs of Perth where they also reside with their two boys Chase and Jackson.
